Coaching Profile:
Zac Rahman
Original: Collapsed front leg, falling away slightly; as a result of jumping in last minute and therefore then having to open back outwards - feet "clocking off" for same reason due to late jump in <<<
|
Aligned: Ability to release the ball from slightly higher working in a straighter line driving momentum towards the batsman with less stress running through lower back ^^^
|
BOWLING ANALYSIS:
- Bowls with relatively good control and has the ability to swing the ball (away to RHB) courtesy of a good seam position at release and weight opening "outwards" on/after release. Areas for improvement: - Run up slightly "zig-zagged" and could be straighter encouraging weight/momentum to drive forwards into, and out of delivery - Front foot currently "blocking off" making it very difficult to drive through action and as such momentum is slowing up at release - also significant amount of strain running through lower back, asking it to twist out of action to make up for jump in last minute into bound - Runs down the middle of the wicket quite often as a result of late jump in which obstructs the umpires view - also likely to cause problems when playing on grass wickets |
BATTING ANALYSIS:
- A good eye for the ball and has demonstrated the capability to play some very good shots Areas for improvement: - Working with a bigger stride towards good length and full'ish balls allowing for more weight through the ball on contact and less likely to play away from body - Leaning back on occasions giving an increased likelihood of playing away from body and lifting the ball up in the air. Aim to have head position working in unison with front foot, so a comfortable stride accompanied by head over the ball on contact - Stay strong with back leg when playing forwards again as above, to ensure weight isn't shifting down/backwards |
