Batting - Quite a narrow stance for someone of that height and also leaning slightly off-side to begin with eyes not quite level. Slightly wider base would/could lend itself to a stronger, more purposeful stride when playing front foot strokes.
- Can look to over-hit some balls on occasions which can lead to not quite timing as effectively as might like. Back yourself to establish a strong position and have hands complimenting one another, working together to time well and gain a good contact on ball striking.
Opportunities for improvement: - Top hand/wrist/arm strengthening through drills lending itself to this. Currently the bat plain tends to be dragged towards the leg-side slightly which is making it difficult to time balls effectively especially on stump line.
- Try to be slightly more upright in stance which will lend itself to eyes remaining level and less likely to be leaning off-side, therefore giving slightly more opportunity to play the ball down the ground than at present (can tend to work across straight'ish balls through mid-wicket line by falling across).
- Back foot can slide backwards to straight'ish balls creating an imbalance with head falling slightly opposite way. Remaining more upright in stance to begin with should offer a better chance to keep this still by enabling weight to be more central, and slightly less falling affect off-side.
- Challenge yourself to gain a good stride to balls of a good to full'ish length which creates opportunities to hit from, as opposed to a short stride falling towards the ball (slightly wider stance would lend more to this, keeping front foot out in front, not
Bowling: - Simple run-up/approach to the crease but is from quite an angle making it slightly more difficult to get through action that it might/could be bowling to a RHB (slight angle when bowling to a LHB would be encouraged).
- Good release point and hip drive despite slight overlapping (jump in) with back foot and front foot contact, action does lend itself to being able to swing the ball away to RHB through 'opening outwards' effect.
Opportunities for improvement: - Could work at coming into delivery a little straighter, better aligned (to RHB) to ease load on lower back and prevent the likelihood of lateral flexion occurring (through upper body falling away having to rotate out of action as an off-spinner would - see front foot pivot & rotation). Simplifying action and delivery to work in straight lines better.
- Being slightly better aligned, more upright at delivery would likely lend itself to being able to hit slightly fuller lengths than on the video also. Enabling you to work in straight lines, forwards and therefore drive upwards (slightly fuller) more consistently.
