Session Plan/Objective:
Red ball work focusing on being prepared to bat time, to build an innings without the added pressure to score runs at a good/quick rate. Show a willingness to leave the ball & to be proactive with plans/tactical approach. |

Seemed to struggle a little picking length up on occasions and tended very often to edge leg side with his back leg making it difficult to setup strong, well balanced positions.
Back foot lane with balls directed at the body tended to struggle getting cramped up (ball following his back-foot movement leg side and therefore unable to free up his hands). Quite a few balls hit into thigh pad as a result of getting cramped a little. Front foot; a little tentative with his stride and also found it tricky to reach several balls outside off (back foot slipping further away). Head did fall over at times and with back foot slipping the opposite way, an imbalance being created. Second round saw an improvement of playing a little more from his stance and back leg not quite slipping as much, hit more balls through the off-side as a result but did come undone on a couple of occasions due to lack of a positive stride (a little tentative coming forward and got caught on the crease). |
