Goals / Objectives leading into 2016:
|
BATTING:
Stance/setup starts off good being well balanced and comfortable with bat nicely raised.... to the one on the Right with feet going leg side & head the opposite way.
Due to the movement of both feet it makes it extremely difficult to setup a strong position when making contact with the ball and therefore unable to achieve control & much power.
When playing on the front foot to full pitched deliveries the back foot needs to remain where it is but raise up on toes to provide a solid platform to transfer weight forward...which is achieved through front foot & head working together getting close & over the ball respectively.
Opportunities for improvement:
- Work on head position allowing to work from better/stronger positions when playing on the front foot
- Keep feet in line at stance until ball is released and when playing on front foot raise back foot onto toes giving a strong base to propel weight forward and transfer that into ball contact to generate power - achieved by feet working in tandem, front foot a comfortable stride towards the pitch of the ball

BOWLING:
Run Up angled in making it difficult to deliver the ball straight consistently with weight directed down the leg side into delivery.
Opportunities for improvement:
- Straighten run up into delivery
- Gain more from run up by looking to attack and drive through the crease
- Work with heels more in line to give a stronger base at delivery allowing right hip to drive through
