Feedback:
Keen to get hands through the ball and play positively. Struggled to establish strong positions to hit from and as such struggled to hit the ball as well as might have liked. Demonstrate he can hit the ball powerfully with fast hands. Stance looks a little narrow and unstable, encouraging head to fall over off-side and thus creating difficulties in playing balls attacking the stumps - and led to having to work straight'ish balls leg-side due to falling over slightly. |
Opportunities for improvement:
- Create a little more separation between feet in stance, to be well balanced and work from a stable position - offering more opportunity to work from stronger positions when playing on the front foot. Will also assist head position to perhaps remain a bit more still and eyes level longer. - Take emphasis a little away from the hands and more on establishing strong positions, being well balanced = strong positions and in turn will offer a good chance to allow the hands to hit the ball well. - Try to ensure hands are working together as much as possible in order to maintain the full face of the bat (offering margin for error) and working through the ball (very strong bottom hand looking to come through extremely fast and can lose the shape as a result). |
