Opportunities for improvement:
- Manage the bat lift in setup/stance to be a little straighter (can currently push outwards quite wide towards 2nd slip angle, which can encourage dragging leg-side on the downswing if not managed well through top hand). This can offer a better opportunity to gain a better contact on ball striking.
- Strong top hand to manage the full face of the bat - at times it can look as though the bat is pulling Amrit's hands down, rather than him being in full control of the bat path, through the ball.
- Try to establish a good, comfortable stride to balls which are of a good to full'ish kind of length; closer you can get to balls of that length, the more half volleys you will create.
- Take the emphasis away from fast hands at times and try to keep them in rythmn and aim to time the ball effectively from good, strong, well balanced positions (which can be created courtesy of the above stride, where possible).
